For writers
Writer Guidelines
These guidelines help keep StoryNest a welcoming place for original fiction. Please read them before submitting a story.
1. Share only your own work
Submit stories you wrote yourself. Do not upload work copied from other writers, books, websites or AI tools presented as your own. Fan fiction should be clearly labelled as such in the description.
You keep the copyright to your stories. Publishing on StoryNest does not transfer ownership.
2. Content that is not allowed
Sexual content involving minors, in any form.
Content that promotes hatred, harassment or violence against real people or groups.
Real people's private information, or content meant to bully or threaten someone.
Spam, advertising, or links meant to mislead readers.
Anything illegal or that infringes someone else's rights.
3. Mature themes
Fiction can explore difficult topics. If your story includes strong violence, abuse, self-harm or other sensitive themes, mention this in the description so readers can choose what they read.
4. Preparing your story
Give your story a clear title, a short description and the genre that fits best. Add at least one complete chapter before submitting. Proofread your chapters — readers notice care and polish.
5. How review works
When you submit, your story goes to our editors. They may approve it, or send it back with a note explaining what to change. Only approved stories appear publicly. Review times can vary as the team is small.
6. Reports and removal
Readers can report stories they believe break these guidelines. Editors review every report and may unpublish a story or suspend an account when rules are broken.
7. Earnings
Earnings and payouts are not active on StoryNest yet. Writing and publishing is currently free, and no money is paid or collected.
